Lavender & Hibiscus Sugar Scrub

Sometimes, we owe it to ourselves to spend those extra couple(x10) minutes in the shower just letting the hot water hit our body as we shut our mind off from everything happening outside of the curtains, am I right?

Next time you want to treat yourself to some pampering, i think it’s time for you to switch it up a bit with your showers 🙂 And yes, if you were thinking it involves a wonderful sugar scrub, then we’re definitely on the same path;) We all deserve some ‘me’ time. Time spent in meditation and letting yourself relax. Oh yes, i said it: relax.

This sugar scrub is amazing and instantly sends me to a peaceful state of mind. I love using it as a face scrub – it is completely natural, organic and very gentle on skin. It soothes, de-stresses and improves the overall health of your skin 🙂

The extra bonus: these ingredients that make up this sugar scrub are simple enough to mix up in your home instead of paying unnecessary $$ at specialty stores.

Ingredients:
1 cup organic cane sugar
1/3 cup USDA organic, unrefined coconut oil, melted
1 tablespoon dried Lavender buds
1 tablespoon dried Hibiscus
6-10 drops DoTerra Lavender Essential Oil
2-4 drops Vitamin E oil

Directions:
1. Slowly add the coconut oil into the sugar while stirring.
2. Pour in as much oil as you need to reach your desired consistency.
3. Crush the lavender and hibiscus with a mortar and pestle.
4. Stir in the oils, lavender and hibiscus into sugar and oil mixture.
5. Store in an airtight container (Lasts up to 3 months if you keep bacteria and germs out of the scrub)

I love putting this mixture in the palms of my hands and before i put it on my face, I breathe it in with the steam of the shower enhancing the lavender.

Enjoy ❤
